יובל דרבי הוביל דיון על מגמות אחרונות בחשיבה על ההיסטוריה האורלית של טקסטים עתיקים כתובים, במיקוד בטקסטים באכדית ובעברית. ניסינו ביחד לברר מה הם ההבדלים המהותיים בין כתב לבעל פה, ושאלנו האם טקסט הוא בהכרח כתוב, או שיש חלוקה בין שיטת המסירה לבין טקסטואליות. 

 

Written and Oral

Yuval Darabi led a discussion on recent trends in thinking about the oral prehistory of ancient written texts, focusing on texts in Akkadian and Hebrew. Together we tried to find out what the essential differences are between written and oral, and we asked whether a text is necessarily written, or whether there is a division between the method of transmission and textuality.
