Seventh Meeting (23.6.21): Healing traumatic wounds

Overcoming trauma or healing - this was the theme of this encounter, that focused on whether it is possible to overcome trauma. One of the texts focuses on memorialization of the Apartheid in South Africa and how the construction of memorials and museums impacted the affected population towards developing their own narrative and representativity in the official narrative. Though such case studies did not result in healing of trauma, it helped towards managing it.

The second text focused on the analysis of collective self-healing within Jewish and Arab Israeli population. The development of bilateral projects in the domains of art, education, NGOs, economy and psychology, that were organized by various groups targeting coexistence, proved to promote a healthier environment for both citizens.
