Participants got to know each other and made a presentation of their own research. Different fields of humanities are represented in the group and intersect with trauma and memory studies, specifically:

Law: transitional justice, memory and the Israeli-Palestinian conflict;

Law and communication: media, law and its audience - litigation’s strategies and evolution;

Anthropology: representation of trauma in Goya’s “Disasters of War”;

Visual arts and sociology: elaboration of traumatic past in different former KGB prisons turned into museums; political activism and trauma in post-dictatorial Brazil;

Psychology: ex-soldier’s visual representation of war experiences in Israel;

Literature: exile, war and forced dislocation during the period of the Russian Revolution.
The group decided on the format of the meeting and what should be discussed in the next meeting.
