This session delved deeper into the mechanics of computing counterfactuals. We focused on the three-step process for calculating counterfactual outcomes and worked through several illustrative exercises—ranging from simple individual-level predictions to more complex policy evaluation scenarios. Members engaged in discussions to clarify each step and its underlying assumptions.
