התפילה במבט רב-תחומי (נועם אורן – פילוסופיה)

כפרקטיקה מרכזית בכל דתות העולם, התפילה זכתה לתשומת לב מחקרית בדיסציפלינות מגוונות. קבוצת הדיון תאגד חוקרות וחוקרים צעירים העוסקים בחקר התפילה מפרספקטיבות שונות (פילוסופיה, מקרא, מחשבת ישראל, מדע הדתות, לימודים קלאסיים, תלמוד, סוציולוגיה, ועוד) לדיון משותף בסוגיות תיאורטיות ומתודולוגיות משיקות. חברי הקבוצה יוכלו להציג מעבודותיהם/ן, להיתרם ולתרום לחקר התפילה בדיסציפלינות אחרות. שאלות מרכזיות בהן נעסוק במהלך המפגשים תהיינה: 'מה היא תפילה?', 'אילו הנחות פילוסופיות ותיאולוגיות צריך להניח בכדי להציק את קיומה של תפילה?', 'איך התפילה התעצבה והתפתחה במסורות שונות?', 'האם אדם בן ימינו יכול להתפלל?' ועוד.

Prayer from an Interdisciplinary Perspective (Noam Oren – Philosophy)

Prayer is a central religious practice in all religions (and even within secular communities). As such, it has received vast scholarly attention in numerous fields of study. Our group will bring together young researchers from diverse fields (such as philosophy, Bible, Jewish thought, religious studies, classical studies, Talmud, sociology, etc.) to discuss shared theoretical and methodological issues related to the study of prayer. Group members will be encouraged to present their work and enrich other participants’ research in other disciplines. The group discussions will focus on questions such as 'what is prayer?', 'what is the theological and philosophical assumptions that justify prayer?', 'how prayer evolve in different tradition?', 'can we still pray in the modern/scientific era?', etc.
