אירועי קיצון- שולחן עגול
מטרת הקבוצה ליצור מסגרת אקדמית חברתית לסטודנטים לתארים מתקדמים במגוון תחומים, שתאפשר למידה הדדית, שיח מדעי והפריה בין תחומית סביב תופעות טבע חריגות ובעלות השפעה סביבתית נרחבת, כגון שיטפונות, גלי חום, סופות, שריפות ורעידות אדמה. המפגשים נערכים אחת לשבועיים, ונמשכים כשעה. בכל מפגש מציג אחד המשתתפים ניתוח מדעי של אירוע קיצון מנקודת המבט של תחום המחקר שלו, ולאחר מכן מתקיים דיון פתוח שבו כל אחד מהמשתתפים תורם מהידע שלו.

The project titled “Extreme Events Roundtable” aims to create an academic and social framework for graduate students, enabling mutual learning, scientific dialogue, and interdisciplinary exchange around natural phenomena that have significant environmental impacts, such as floods, heatwaves, storms, wildfires, and earthquakes. Meetings are held every two weeks and last about an hour. In each meeting, one of the participants presents a scientific analysis of an extreme event from the perspective of their research field, followed by an open discussion in which all participants contribute their insights.
