תיאור הקבוצה

סוגיות סביבתיות הן חוצות-מגזרים מטבען. הן נוגעות לרמה הגלובלית, אך בפועל מיושמות ברמה המקומית. כחוקרות, אנו סבורות כי מתפקידנו להיות מעורבות בנעשה בתחום, ועל כן אנו מזהות הזדמנות במחקר להביא לידי ביטוי את קולם של קובעי המדיניות ולבחון כיצד הם מעצבים את המציאות החברתית-סביבתית. קבוצת מחקר זו תבחן באמצעות "ניתוח רשתות" את האפשרויות להוביל יוזמות סביבתיות בתחומים שונים, בעזרת כוחות מקומיים.

אנו רוצות לבנות קבוצה מגוונת של חוקרים וחוקרות, מתחומים שונים, שעוסקים ביוזמות, בתחומי חברה וסביבה, מנקודות מבט שונות. נעסוק ביוזמות מדינות, רשתות חברתיות, ממשל מקומי, תיאוריות מוסדיות ועוד. הקבוצה תיצור מרחב לדיון והחלפת רעיונות בנוגע לנושאים העיקריים הקשורים ליוזמות חברתיות-סביבתיות, וכן תאפשר במה למשתתפים להציג את עבודתם ולקבל הערות מעמיתיהם. הקבוצה תיפגש אחת לחודש, לקריאה מונחית, הצגת פרויקטים ודיון משותף. בסוף כל מפגש נכתוב חיבור משותף על הנושא הנבחן. את כלל החיבורים נאסוף בסוף השנה ונרצה לפרסם אסופה משותפת שתעסוק במסגרת של רשתות קשר ככלי לבחינת יוזמות חברתיות-סביבתיות. אנו מזמינות תלמידי ותלמידות מחקר להשתתף בקבוצה ולחלוק ידע, ניסיון מהשטח או במחקר ולהצטרף לחשיבה משותפת!

Socio-ecological networks (Naama Sadan & Yonat Rein-Sapir – Geography)

Environmental issues are inherently systemic. Many of the policies that address them occur globally but are implemented locally. We are researchers who care deeply and are involved with actions and locally grown initiatives advancing socio-ecological causes, seeking methodologies that take into consideration practitioners' voices and relationships. We strive to understand the policy in its context. This group will investigate the emerging concept of network analysis and how it can allow a systemic look into environmental initiatives, considering existing local factors and connections.

We aim to create a diverse group of researchers from broad fields investigating local initiatives and social-environmental topics from many angles. We will address diverse topics as policy implementation, social networks, local governance, institutional theory, etc. The group aims to offer a space for conversation and interchange of the main issues related to socio-environmental initiatives and a platform for researchers to present their work and receive comments from their peers. The group will meet monthly with a predefined theme, a reading list, and scholars with relevant expertise to initiate a discussion. At the end of every session, we will write a report on the session's contribution to our understanding of local socio-ecological initiatives. We aim to collect these reports into an essay about using network frameworks to conceptualize socio-ecological initiatives. The essay will be circulated between the members of the group and we aspire to publish it. Research Students interested in the topic are welcome to join and bring academic knowledge, field expertise, or just some open-mindedness to the group!
