"אני לא טקסט" (נטע שרם – חינוך יהודי)

הקבוצה תתמקד ב'טקסט' ובאוצר המילים שעוטף אותו. האקדמיה פיתחה דרכים מתוחכמות לקרוא טקסטים מסורתיים מכל מיני סוגים מכתב היתדות, דרך כתבי יד ועד טקסטים דיגיטליים. אבל היום שומעים על טקסטים אחרים – טקסטים חזותיים, טקסטים מצלוליים, טקסטים גופניים – וגם אותם חוקרים 'קוראים'. תרבות חומרית, לימודי קול, ודיסציפלינות משנה נוספות פיתחו ושכללו את הדרכים בהן קוראים טקסטים לא מסורתיים. מה הנחות היסוד הפילוסופיות בקריאות מעין אלו? ומהן טכניקות הקריאה החדשות?

קבוצת הלימוד 'אני לא טקסט' תחבר בין תלמידות ותלמידי מחקר שהמחקר שלהם קורא טקסטים במובן הרחב. כל משתתפת ומשתתף יציגו נושא אחד תוך התייחסות למחקר האישי ומשתתף אחר יגיב על הדברים. המפגשים יוקדשו לעיסוק תימתי בטקסטואליות (כמו למשל גופים כטקסטים), אבל הכוונה היא שבמפגש הראשון נגבש יחד נושאים שרלוונטיים לנו. תוצרי הדיון יכולים להיות מושב בכנס או מאמר משותף. הקבוצה מתאימה לדוקטורנטים ודוקטורנטיות ממגוון דיסציפלינות ממוזיקולוגיה דרך ארכיאולוגיה ועד פילוסופיה ותקשורת ובלבד שהשאלות התיאורטיות והמתודולוגיות קרובות לליבכם. למרות שלא נפתור את הפרדוקס שבהכרזה 'אני לא טקסט' (ויתכן שפתרון רק מקלקל) נהיה מדויקים יותר בהבנה התיאורטיות שלנו את המתודולוגיה המחקרית שלנו. המפגשים יתקיימו בימי שלישי במתכונת היברידית: חמישה מפגשים בזום וחמישה מפגשים פנים מול פנים.

“I am Not a Text” (Netta Schramm – Jewish Thought)

This group will focus on ‘text.’ Academia has developed highly sophisticated ways to read traditional texts from the carved to the written to the typed. Nowadays, however, there are other texts - images, sounds, and bodily gestures – that academics claim to be ‘reading.’ Material Studies, Sound Studies, and other sub-disciplines have elaborate methods of reading non-traditional texts. The research group will connect doctoral students whose research does just that: reads texts broadly defined. We will explore the philosophical assumptions of such ‘readings,’ and what these reading techniques entail. Drawing on their research, each participant will present a pre-chosen general theme (possible topics are sounds or artifacts as texts). We will, of course, further discuss the desired themes for our group in our first meeting. In each session, another participant will also prepare a response. The outcomes of our discussion can take the form of a conference panel or a joint research paper. 

I Am Not a Text is intended for doctoral students across disciplines from musicology through archaeology to philosophy and communication so long as the theoretical and methodological issues are close to your hearts. Although we will not solve the problem of declaring ‘I am not a text’ (and perhaps such resolutions only spoil the fun), we will be more accurate in our theoretical understanding of our research methods. The meetings will take place on Tuesdays in a hybrid format: five sessions online and five in person.
